Ping Pong Playdough Straw Maze * ages 2+

Ping Pong Playdough Straw Maze 💡 ages 2+ 💡 Here’s a great activity for building oral motor skills, fine motor skills and a fantastic STEAM building activity for older kids. What I really love is that it can be enjoyed by toddlers up to elementary age kids together! My 2 year old and 9 year old were having the best time trying to move through the maze together.

And don’t forget to check out our NEW book – 100 Easy STEAM Activities is full of fun games and creative projects to learn early concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math with materials you already have around the house!

MATERIALS NEEDED: (affiliate links)

* Playdough

* Ping pong ball

* Straws

WHAT TO DO:

1. Start by rolling out long lines of playdough. For toddlers, this may be too difficult, but for older kids this is a great fine motor activity.

2. Shape the Playdough lines into a maze. We chose to keep the lines very thin which made it more challenging to keep the ball in the maze. If they blew too hard on the ball it would jump the lines of the maze.

3. Finally, place a ping pong ball at the start of the maze and have kids use a straw to blow the ping pong ball through the maze.

All my boys had fun with this game and it was a great teamwork activity as well!
