Snowball Letters – Letter Recognition Activity * ages 2-6

Snowball Letters - Letter Recognition Activity

Snowball Letters is a fun activity that’s perfect to do in the wintertime and is great for building letter recognition, fine motor and concentration skills!

MATERIALS NEEDED (affiliate links):

* Cotton balls or marshmallows

* Dark construction paper (We used blue.)

* A white crayon

* Kids tongs

WHAT TO DO:

Simply draw a large letter in white crayon on a dark piece of construction paper (we used blue). Then ask the child to use the tongs to place “snowballs” on the letter to make the letter with the snowballs! For my 3 year old, I used the larger cotton balls and for my 6 year old, I used the smaller marshmallows for more of a challenge.

So fun and Oliver loved sneaking a marshmallow or two or three! 😂
