Rainbow Water Density Experiment

- Food coloring - Sugar - Water - Seven cups - Dropper

Materials Needed:

Fill 6 containers with 1/2 cup of warm water each. Then add 1 drop of food coloring to each cup and mix.

Step 1

In red cup add NO sugar, orange = 1 tsp sugar, yellow = 2 tsp, green = 3 tsp, blue = 4 tsp, purple = 5 tsp. and mix until sugar is fully dissolved. 

Step 2

Use the dropper to add the purple water to another cup. 

Step 3

Next add the blue water by letting it run down edge of cup.  Then add green, yellow, orange & red.
