Coffee Filter Heart Prints – Kids Valentine’s Day Craft * ages 3+

We discovered this fun technique while just playing around with our ink pads and it’s perfect for a simple, Valentine’s Day activity for kids of many ages!  It’s also great to use for other holidays or with letter or number cookie/dough cutters.

MATERIALS NEEDED (affiliate links):

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Start by taking a coffee filter and placing it over a color on the ink pad.
  2. Then take a dough or cookie cutter and press it on the coffee filter and onto the ink pad.

That’s it!  You can change colors by just moving the coffee filter to the next spot you want to stamp.  The cookie cutter doesn’t get dirty because the coffee filter is between the cutter and the ink pad so there’s no clean-up required between changing colors.  Also, notice the cool splatter effect from using this technique!  💛💚❤

  1. Where would I find an ink pad like yours?
