Color Hunt * ages 3+

Going on nature walks is one of our favorite activities to do as a family.  I created this Color Hunt to make our nature walks and outdoor play more exciting and engaging!

What to Do

  1. Create the color hunt board by starting with a piece of cardboard (we used the flap from a cardboard shipping box).
  2. Stretch 3 rubber bands around the cardboard and space evenly.
  3. Attached mini-clothes pins to the rubber bands as shown in the picture above.  We tried to use color coordinating clothespins but neutral colors would work too.
  4. Use the paint sticks to write Color Hunt at the top of the board, and then draw circles with each color you  are collecting underneath the matching clothespin.  We collected red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black and white.  Looking back, I would add pink as well!
  5. Now that your board is ready to go, the only thing left is to start the hunt!  We were able to find all colors, but blue was definitely the most challenging for us.  We finally found some a little blue stone and some little blue flowers to complete our hunt!

The Tomorrow campaign recognizes that what sustains us through exceptional times like these are
the essential qualities that make us human—our capacity for love, the power of our relationships,
and the strength we get from belonging to a society that is capable of working together to do so
much more than any one of us can do on our own.
