Color Matching Lid Drop Toddler Activity * ages 1-3

Color Matching Lid Drop Toddler Activity 🌈ages 1-3 🌈 Alexander is starting to learn colors so I put together this fun activity that’s great for developing motor skills, color recognition and cause & effect.

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR COLOR MATCHING LID DROP TODDLER ACTIVITY:

* 6 Empty paper towel rolls

* Glue

* Tissue paper squares in various colors (we used red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple)

* Baby food pouch lids (any small lids would work)!

* Scotch or masking tape

WHAT TO DO:

1. First I took paper towel rolls and glued a piece of color tissue paper to each.

2. Then I taped them to the wall.

3. Finally I gave Alexander some baby food lids of matching colors and asked him to drop them down the correct tube.

Check out Alexander in action doing the Color Matching Lid Drop:

You can see he’s still learning, but he had so much fun dropping the lids down the tube and watching them fall!
