How to Make Bubble Mountains

Bubble Mountains 💡 ages 2+ 💡

Recently I’ve been obsessed in finding another use for the hose attachment that comes with those packs of quick fill water balloons. I just kept thinking there must be a way to reuse these. Then one day it hit me…bubbles! And boy did it work well – we made mountains and mountains of bubbles! And to top it all off, this is an excellent activity for building oral motor skills, fine motor skills and crossing the midline.

1. Start by putting a small amount of dish soap and water in a bowl and mix.

2. Wash the hose attachment that comes with quick fill water balloons (great recycle opportunity)

3. Dip the straw end of the hose attachment into the soapy mix and remove.

TIPS FOR MAKING BUBBLE MOUNTAINS:

  • Try blowing softly into the hose end as it will allow more bubbles to form.
  • Put the ends of the straws inside the bubble mountains and blow to make even more bubbles! It also makes the bubbles already in the mountain even bigger!
  • You can pick up some of the bubbles using the straw attachment and they won’t pop!
